Twisted Metal Extra Twisted

The PS2 still proves to be so popular in this country, especially since support for the system is still high. Thus, I think owners of PS2 would be happy to know that Twisted Metal Head On Extra Twisted Edition will be out February 5th (my birthday btw) for some never before seen levels as well as old school arenas to blast your opponents in. Here's a gameplay video from Jaffe himself.

PS: Seems like a lot of games are coming out February 5th.

BCG Tourney Preparations

The Brunei Cyber Games are prepared for tomorrow's video games competitions at the International Convention Centre. With tons of big screen televisions sponsored by Phillips and the still so popular Sony PlayStation 2, participants should be confident enough that their time at the tournament won't be an unfair game. What's most important is that all systems and T.V.s have been tested and are ready to go.

During the registration period at ICC this afternoon, we saw a lot of people gathering around the booth. From students to adults, a lot of people were seen signing up for the PES2008 and Guitar Hero III tournaments. It's amazing to see such number of support from the public. Even parents of students were seen encouraging their kids to participate, paying for their entrant fees.

Also present at the registration booth was our very own winner of the BruGamers Guitar Hero III contest, JuLoRen. He then forwarded to the registration booth to register with no cash at hand, with the guy who made this possible right by his side, Rano! Of course, that's all thanks to us and Rano for sponsoring the free entry.

Today's the last day of registration but RanoAdidas.com has posted that registration will still be open tomorrow (Fri) and Saturday, convenient for those living far away from Bandar.

From BCG Tournament

This BCG event will be held at ICC from 9am through 7pm on both Fridays and Saturdays, with Guitar Hero III tournaments starting in the afternoon at 4pm. Finals will be held on Sunday, January 6th, 2007, from 9.30am onwards, starting with the knock-out stages in the morning and afternoon.

For more information on the time please visit the official site.

GHIII Free Entries Contest

Just a short update as a follow up to the last post on next week's competition. We want to let you guys know that we will be giving out TWO free entries to the GHIII tournament, organised by RanoAdidas and Sunlit, via a small contest soon. Note, this contest is only for free entry to the Guitar Hero III competition, not PES2008 and not winning the GHIII competition itself. Free entry, which means, if you still do not understand that, you do not have to pay the $15 registration fee.

Remember, the competition is for GHIII PS2 - but as far as I know, nothing much differs since all guitar layouts are the same.

So check back with us soon to find out how to win the free entries.

This BruGamers.com contest is sponsored by RanoAdidas.com.

TIME picks HALO 3

Usually, I don't really care
much about gaming top 10s from places outside the gaming journalism but, I guess, TIME Magazine can be somewhat okay. Somewhat.

In any case, I'm sure a lot of you would be happy to know that TIME Magazine dubbed Halo 3 as their No 1 video games of 2007, calling Halo 3 as the "perfect hardcore first-person combat simulator". I think that's a matter of perspective, I like COD4 better. But I can't argue that Halo 3 doesn't belong there. It's a great game.

Here's the rest of the list:

1. Halo 3
2. The Orange Box
3. Rock Band
4. Super Mario Galaxy
5. BioShock
6. Call of Duty 4
7. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
8. Mass Effect
9. Ace Combat 6
10. God of War 2

Seems like even the PS2 shares the top 10. Seriously, how can TIME Magazine call it Video Game of 2007 when 2007 has yet to end? This is why I rely more on the gaming industry's own journalists to come out with the best top 10s because they wait until next year to try out all games. TIME needs to know that putting games into Top 10s of the year takes time. So I'm going back to my dose of 1up, GameSpy and IGN.
